Colin Smith joins us for his second season with the Wildthings.
Colin coached for Machine Aquatics from 2007 until 2008. He coached
Vienna Aquatic winter swim team for all four years in high school.
Colin swam four years for the varsity swim team at Oakton high
school until his graduation in 2006. He was a member of the medley
relay team that earned All-American consideration at the Virginia
state championship meet in 2006. He swam for Vienna aquatic swim
team for 13 years, making all stars five times, including a second
place finish in the 50 breastroke his final year. Colin swam for
Mary Washington University in 2007 where he placed 2nd in the
100 and 200 breaststroke at the CAC championship meets. He currently
attends James Madison University and is on the club swim team.
He also holds the Machine longcourse 100 breastroke record. |
Tracy
DeMocker – Assistant Coach,

| Tracy
joins us for her second season of coaching with the Wildthings,
both last year's summer team and the winter program. Tracy swam
for the Wildthings for 11 years, and swam on the Langley High School
varsity team for four years where was captain her senior year. She
swam for 11 years with the Sea Devils and went three times to Zones
and twice to Sectionals. Tracy currently holds records at the Langley
Club in the 15-18 breaststroke and the 13-14 and 15-18 Individual
Medley. She has just finished her first year at UVA where she swam
with the Club swim team and played water polo. Tracy is certified
by the Red Cross as a Water Safety Instructor (WSI). |
Jamie
Sexton – Assistant Coach,

| Jamie
joins us for his fifth season as a coach for the Wildthings. Jamie
has been with the Wildthings for 12 years. He is a varsity swimmer
and captain for Langley High School where he swam 100 breaststroke
as his main event. Jamie took third at the Liberty District meet
and then went on to swim in VHSL State Meet (Virginia High School
League) where he took 7th and swam a personal best of 59.60. Jamie
holds the 13-14 and 15-18 breaststroke records at the Langley Club.
Jamie also swims with the Sea Devils and is certified by the Red
Cross as a Water Safety Instructor (WSI). Jamie will be attending
The University of South Carolina in the fall. |

| Chris joins
us for his second season as a coach for the Wildthings. He volunteered
as a coach for the Wildthings winter swim program last season and
was the Head Junior Team coach last summer. Chris has been swimming
with the Wildthings for 12 years. Chris was a member of the Varsity
Swim Team at Langley High School for four years where he swam 100
backstroke as his main event. Chris has also swum for Machine Aquatics
Swim Team for the past four years, and is certified by the Red Cross
as a Water Safety Instructor (WSI). Chris will be attending the
University of Virginia in the fall where he will major in Engineering. |
Meghan
Overend - Assistant Coach

| Meghan
joins us for her first season of coaching with the Wildthings. This
will be Meghan’s 12th season swimming for the Wildthings.
She has qualified as an NVSL all star for the past 4 years, and
currently holds the team record for 11-12 and 13-14 butterfly. Meghan
currently swims on the Langley High School Varsity Swim Team, and
has been a member of their VHSL (Virginia High School League) State
team both years on the team. She was a member of the 200 Freestyle
Relay both years, which qualified for All American Consideration,
and place 3rd in the state each of those years. Meghan also currently
swims for Machine Aquatics Swim Team, and was a member of their
Sectional Team this season. Meghan is certified by the Red Cross
as a Water Safety Instructor (WSI). |
Brendan
Smith - Assistant Coach

Brendan joins us in his first season as a Langley assistant coach.
He swam 13 years for Vienna Aquatic Club where he went to All
Stars three times and for Machine Aquatics until he was 13 years
old. Brendan attended Oakton High School and graduated in 2008.
There he played football, lacrosse and baseball. He also played
rugby for NOVA when the team won its first VA state championship.
Brendan has finished his first year at Virginia Commonwealth University.
